This site talks about the inclusion of families in the child’s learning and passions within the music they are learning. The site suggests taking pressure off of families and providing authentic opportunities for parents to engage with their children in music and dance. This article also promotes anytime, anywhere learning. Music, dancing, songs, and experiences in school can deepen connections at home and provide experiences in the child’s day to day life that are outside of school.

Reviews
I believe the students will be excited to share the music they are learning with their families and peers in and out of the classroom. However, for some parents, as this article suggests, this may be difficult. Some parents may be short on time, they may not be able to come to school and engage with them, and they may not be comfortable using music in their day-to-day life. That is why we educators are here, we want to create these links from home to school life. We want parents involved and we want to keep them engaging with their children. I think this site provides helpful suggestions and ideas for engaging parents and families in their children’s music experiences.
