Visme: Solution to a fundamental Problem
For those of us who don’t have the experience of a designer nor the time or the luxury of spending endless hours translating our ideas into the form of professional presentations and infographics, a new Web App called “Visme” is the answer to this problem.
There are 10’s of other apps that have tried to solve this challenge but most are either too difficult to use, too expensive or if easy to use; fail to deliver and give the flexibility one seeks to personalize the content to fit their exact needs.
That is where Visme comes in. Even if you’re not that great at design, it’s an extremely easy to use, flexible app that is changing the way ideas are visualized into the form of powerful and easy to share presentations, infographics and other forms of interactive content.
What is Visme?
Virtually everyone needs to express their thoughts and ideas to an audience in the form of content. Visual content such as Presentation, Images and Infographics are highly engaging forms of content over text.
Most are used to Powerpoint and other similar tools as their go to software, but most of these applications are based on an outdated technology and user experience which will often limit user to creating sub-par content that fails to inspire and engage an audience.
Visme, a new browser based application is on the verge of disrupting the content creation process. Based on over two years of development and refined with the feedback an support of over 65,000 beta users, It’s mission it to simplify the ability for anyone to easily translate their thoughts and ideas into engaging content.
For example Bloggers are using it to create static graphics or interactive presentations and infographics to support otherwise boring text content to increase engagement with their audience, educators and students are using it to improve communication on various topics, and small businesses and organizations are using it to better engage and market their products and services to their target audience.
Visme is a multi-tool, coined “The Swiss Knife of Visual Content’, because although it’s mainly used to create engaging presentations, infographics, web banners and short animations, it’s possibilities are endless.
Visme users can start from a preset of professional templates or start from a blank canvas and create their own content, fully personalized to their specific needs.
Visme is free to all users; it takes just a few seconds to register and start creating your first project. Most features are free to all users and other features such as downloading project for offline use, password protection, access to premium widgets and templates are available for an affordable fee of under $5/month.
The ability to publish a project and access it in various forms also gives Visme an edge over other online tools. Users can easily publish and share their Visme online, embed it to a website or blog, and can even download it as an Image, PDF or as HTML which will preserve all interactivity and can be used offline.

I have to say; everyone keeps talking about Prezi and the old tools such as Powerpoint.
I can see where this app is going; it’s in Beta so I can see more templates are being added to give a great starting point and in last week noticed couple new widgets which really help speed up the creation process; I heard they’re adding widgets weekly for infographics and presentations.
What is very impressive is the content is entirely in the new html format (html5); Some students used flash before and they all complain nothing works in their mobile/tablets;
In case of Presenter what you create is perfectly functional in any device; we tried on mac, pc, different browsers and tablets and smart phones and content is stable in all of them.
A great app to start getting students involved and help to visualize their ideas and thoughts. once a few students find out their way on animation objects; the fun really got started.
On the surface Presenter looks like just another presentation or animation tool; But it is so much more than that. First it is fully based on HTML5 so no matter what recent browser you use it will load right within the browser with no software or plugins to download.
The system is very easy to use; it practically lets you create simple to interactive presentations right in the browser; best of all when you publish , it will be viewable on any device , browser and even on your tablet or mobile phone.
Lastly it goes beyond Presentations; it allows you to create anything from infographics, animations, banners and more.
We use the tool to create presentations, presumes, infographics and website splash pages.
The only weakness is it would be good to see more templates; but those seem to be in works with new ones added regularly.
Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to use one tool to create any type of content with ease.
