Quotationr is software that helps people tag and save the awesome text they find on the internet. It lets you search and share that text. You can export that text at anytime. You can send it to your Kindle for bedside reading.

How does it work

Quotationr is built around a Chrome Extension ( I plan on supporting Firefox and Safari in the near future ). Once you have signed up and downloaded the Chrome Extension, you can start saving and tagging text. Watch this video to see how it is done. At first your posts will only appear on your homepage. After I trust you are not a spammer / jerk, I will allow your quotes to be broadcast into the public tag pages. If your quotes are really awesome, I will publish them on the homepage. If you don’t want anyone to see your posts, you can mark them as private or make your account completely private.

How much does it cost?

Everyone gets a free trial. Right now I am allowing for 100 free quotes. After that it is $1/month or $9/year for unlimited quotes and bookmarks. If you are awesome and contribute awesome content, your free trial may last longer. If you provide awesome feedback your free trial may also last longer. At some point, I have to charge for this service because 1) It costs money to run Google Appengine at scale and 2) I have invested a lot of my time and money to build Quotationr, and 3) Charging a small amount slows down the influx of idiots to the site.
