Blackbird makes learning to code accessible to all. Students love the engaging lessons and self-led projects. Teachers don’t need prior coding experience to use it.

With Blackbird, students in grades 6+ learn the skills necessary to build fun animations & games using JavaScript. Blackbird’s online learning platform and curriculum was developed as a unique collaboration between education and computer programming experts. The Learning Management System (LMS) in Blackbird lets teachers track progress, award badges, review errors, communicate, and more inside the app.

The curriculum addresses standards and practices identified in the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) Computer Science standards, the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Math and English as well as the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
