Google Expeditions - Free Mobile App

Designed to be used with a Virtual Reality viewer (cardboard viewer or Google Goggles), Expeditions provides virtual reality experiences in which the teacher (acting as a “guide”) leads groups of “explorers” through collections of 360° and 3D images. The teacher controls where the kids "e;are"e; in the expedition and points out specific things within the environment as students look around within the virtual scenes. Expeditions and content partners offers over 200 virtual trips all over the world, including historical landmarks, settings of Shakespeare’s plays, underwater worlds, or outer space. Many Expeditions link to potential lessons with teaching points within the program that allow a teacher to add factual data to the virtual experience. Every scene comes with a specific focus question at three different levels of thinking. Expeditions is a unique and amazing tool for extending the walls of the classroom.
