Managebac may very well serve its purpose as providing an online platform for IB administrative purposes, however it is not user friendly in the slightest. Accessing tabs, calendar dates, adding events, use of drop down bars etc, are very limiting and restricting; its layout is designed in such a way that an educator’s efficiency – as well as his or her time management – is hindered.
Managebac would benefit from a complete overhaul so that its design meets the expectations of teachers and students rather than the those of administrative technocrats.
I am forced to spend countless hours ticking boxes, filling in tab after tab, and littering unit plans with pointless, unrelated jargon when my time would be far better spent planning actual lessons for classes.
