WeVideo is redefining video editing by leveraging the strength of the cloud. We’re making video storytelling and unique social editing accessible to all. Our Company is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, but our roots are in Norway. Seriously. Our founders and parent organization, Inspera, are located in Norway and have been operating in the educational video space for nearly half a decade.  Now we want to share our extensive know how to create a great video-editing experience for everyone. That means we have tons of know how behind us in creating a great video editing experience for you.

Seeing the massive appetite for online video and knowing that the majority of online videos are unedited, our founders decided it was time to move beyond education and redefine video editing for individuals, businesses, and even professional videographers. WeVideo was formed in 2011 with the vision of bringing everyone’s stories to life with video. That means taking down the barriers traditionally associated with video editing—namely the cost, complexity, and the need for major computing resources.

Our Offering

With WeVideo, you simply upload your video clips and photos, create your storylines, and edit them in the cloud. Oh, that “cloud thing”, it means the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product. For you that means there’s no software to download. All video story creation takes place in the browser on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

You can create videos “in the moment” wherever you are, making the process convenient and timely.  We also give you full creative control, and we’ve made it really easy. And with WeVideo, you can collaborate with others on video stories. You can co-create the same video or come up with your own unique versions from the clips in your own cloud-based video library. Once created, you can share your video in basic Internet or high-definition quality on the WeVideo site or publish it to your favorite video-sharing, social-networking, or other online site.
