Description

M3 is a Web-based math assessment game designed to improve the mathematical performance of students in grades 3 to 5.

M3 addresses a number of problems related to students' skills in mathematics including poor performance on standardized math tests, test anxiety by students, and math anxiety. M3 also addresses issues surrounding the need for teachers to have easy access to current and accurate data in order to diagnose student problems, monitor student progress, and improve and differentiate classroom instruction.

The M3 mini games are enveloped in an engaging narrative with multimedia events, characters, and environments. The narrative takes place in a theme park in which a brother and sister are trapped, and there are monsters that apparently are trying to harm them. As the story unfolds, the siblings realize that the monsters themselves are being held captive as well. To free themselves and the friendly monsters, the duo must solve a series of mathematical games.

Currently, M3 is available for schools, school districts, and in-home use. The product will be available for mobile devices in 2012.
