Makey Makey

Description

Makey Makey is an invention kit for the 21st century. Turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet. It’s a simple Invention Kit for Beginners and Experts doing art, engineering, and everything in between.

How Does it Work?

Alligator Clip two objects to the Makey Makey board. For example, you and an apple.

When you touch the apple, you make a connection, and Makey Makey sends the computer a keyboard message. The computer just thinks Makey Makey is a regular keyboard (or mouse). Therefore it works with all programs and webpages, because all programs and webpages take keyboard and mouse input.

Make + Key = Makey Makey!

Works out of the box. Includes: Makey Makey, USB Cable, 7 Alligator Clips, 6 Connector Wires, Quick Start Guide, Online Documentation, and comes in a Colorful Retail Box.

Great tool to inspire creativity.

We learn Scratch programming and brainstorm ways to interact with other object. Below is a link that explains a few of our projects.

The MaKey MaKey is super easy to use. It encourages creative thinking and using lots of different materials for human computer interaction. It also makes computer science concepts concrete by making them hands-on learning experiences. MaKey MaKeys can be reused and can be easily shared while trying out projects, so you don’t need one per student.
