We are an open educational resource aiming to make life a little easier for busy educators like you.

Lessonopoly is a free software portal developed by Silicon Valley Education Foundation. This site was created with constant input from teachers to deliver a set of effective and easy to use tools, even for teachers who do not have time to learn new technologies. Lessonopoly empowers teachers to organize activities inside and outside the classroom, create and share lesson plans, and connect to other teachers by building online communities.

The Silicon Valley Education Foundation works across the boundaries of all 33 school districts in Santa Clara County to ensure public schools have the resources and expertise they need to ensure our students succeed.

Lessonopoly started in 2007 at the San Jose Education Foundation (now Silicon Valley Education Foundation).

Who doesn't like free resources? Lessonpoly is a great resource with a lot of lesson plans. I use this website and Betterlesson together to find exactly what I need. My main complaint about Lessonpoly is the design of the website. Sometimes it is overwhelming and difficult to use. But I would still recommend it as a good resource. It is tough to beat free!

This is one tool/portal that I am really excited about. Lessonopoly is a great resource portal for teachers. It helps you create and share your lesson plans, as well as your teaching content. It is a great way to build a strong teacher community. Teachers can share the teaching methodology that they have found to be the most effective while teaching any particular subject or chapter; this could be of great help to the new teachers. As the tools are pretty simple to use, I would recommend it for all teachers-old and new.
