Description
Flocabulary is a web-based learning program for all grades and subjects that uses educational hip-hop music to engage students and increase achievement. Strengths: This website has fun and catchy rap songs to teach concepts in various disciplines, including math and English Language Arts. I used this to teach order of operations in my Learning Center. The students enjoyed the videos that I shared with them.
Weaknesses: My students didn’t make the connection between the mathematical concept in the rap and the standard they were supposed to learn. Making the connection was hard for them. I need to experiment with this more.
