EDU 2.0 is a simple, powerful e-learning platform.

Every school gets a modern, customizable portal. Unlike old-fashioned boxy designs, our portals are sleek and beautiful, with a built-in clickable slideshow of important content such as a description of your school, calendar, news, class catalog, and custom content. If self-enrollment is enabled, users can also join directly from the portal.

Mobile

Access your site from any mobile device, including the iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile. Our mobile interface is attractive, customizable, fast, and easy to use while still providing full access to the site functionality.

Classes

We provide comprehensive support for instructor-led, blended, and self-paced classes. It's simple to create lessons that include rich multimedia content, a wide variety of assignment types, and track proficiencies using our built-in curricula support. Each class also has an activity stream that allows students to track the latest news and assignments, as well as post their own messages.

Lessons

Lessons usually contain the main educational content for a class. A lesson is comprised of sections and instructor notes. Sections can be a mix of HTML, SCORM modules, and assignments. Assignments can be set up as gateways, which means that students cannot proceed to the next lesson until a specified threshold score has been achieved. You can also tag a lesson with the proficiencies that it teaches.

Assessment

We provide a rich set of assignments, including traditional types such as quizzes, freeform essays, and dropbox assignments, as well as more modern types such as discussions and debates. When you log in, the to-do list for teachers shows assignments that need grading, and the to-do list for students shows assignments that are due. You can easily specify the number of times an assignment may be attempted and whether late assignments are allowed. You can even override these settings on a per-student basis. All assignment types can be submitted and graded online. You can also tag an assignment with the proficiencies that it assesses.

Quizzes

We include comprehensive support for quizzes, including question banks, randomization, a wide variety of question types, timed quizzes, and the ability to export quiz results to external systems. You can select whether the latest or the best score is considered for grading purposes. You can also supply feedback which is given to the student depending on which answer they provide. We also provide a rich set of navigation options for students when they are taking a quiz.

Gradebook

Our easy-to-use gradebook is design for flexibility, easy-of-use, and high performance. You can choose from a wide variety of weighting schemes, specify multiple grading periods, and display/print grade transcripts for selected students. You can enter grades for individual assignments using our fast-grading features, or enter them directly into the online scrolling spreadsheet.

Collaboration

We provide a wide variety of integrated options for collaboration, including groups, forums, chat rooms, wikis, blogs, and video conferencing. Our support for groups is particularly strong, with news and activity feeds for each group as well as its own set of collaboration tools. By default, a list of all the groups that a user is a member of is displayed in the left column of every page.

SCORM

We include seamless support for SCORM, including the ability to add a SCORM module into a lesson, create SCORM assignments for students, and track student progress through SCORM content objects. You also have the ability to launch a SCORM module in a separate window, autoplay a module, and include a table of contents by the side of the module.
