EasyBib

As a Writing teacher, I love introducing the various forms and techniques of writing to my students. However, I always found that though most of them (esp. those who are new to writing research papers) enjoyed researching and writing, they were at a loss when it came to writing the bibliography. EasyBib is a great tool for them. It formats the input reference material in the required format, be it MLA, APA, Chicago, etc. The MLA version is free, but the users are required to pay for Premium service that provides access to APA and other formats. As a Writing teacher, I would recommend it to all students, as with its help they can focus more on their writing, instead of worrying about the bibliography and citations.

I use this tool for students who are assigned a research project that requires a reference page and intext citations. The strength of this tool is that the references are created automatically in the correct MLA format for the student, and is kept track of for the individual student when he/she logs in. From there, it can be printed out or attached, copied and pasted directly into the text of a document. EasyBib is an automatic generating system saving the student a great deal of work that allows them the time to do the research and writing instead.

EasyBib: EasyBib formats your bibliography for you in the American Psychology Association (APA) format. This is outstanding software, as it will save you time in your writing. You will be able to concentrate more on your content instead of worrying about whether your bibliography is in the proper format.

For students in the classroom, once you have shown them what goes into writing citations and annotations of bibliographies, you can then introduce them to time saving technology, EasyBib.

I love writing, but not bibliographies! Easy Bib makes bibliographies less of a headache, so that authors can concentrate on their writing, not their referencing. By imputting a resource's information, the web site is able to generate the reference type needed (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.)

Last year, I started using Easy Bib while my eigth grade students and I were composing a heavily researched argumentative piece. The students seemed to be losing their references, almost as soon as they could find them. This web site was wonderful for keeping track of their researched sites and other resources.

This web site will benefit students and adults throughout their middle, high, collegitate, and professional years!

This is a great free resource for creating MLA citations. Students working on their first formal research papers can by stymied by all of the formatting requirements for their citations. EasyBib solves that problem. I especially like the feature that allows students to type in a title or link to an ebook to generate a citation. APA is a premium feature and requires a membership, but MLA is free, and most middle-school and high school students use APA.
