Remind 101 is a great tool to send reminders and messages to students (as either a text or email). You will never know their phone number and they will never know yours. I use it daily in all of my classes and have used it on school field trips as well. This is one of my favorite tools. It is also a great way to keep parents informed. You can access it with an app or through a web borwer.

Flubaroo is a great script for google forms. It allows you to auto-grade exams (which are MC or FITB). For free response, you can set it where you can grade those individually. It will also email grades to students. Be sure to collect emails when you create the google form. Here is my blog post about it: http://mdhero.blogspot.com/2013/05/using-flubaroo-to-self-grade-google.html

I have used this for a semester with my students. It is a great LMS which can work on the iPad. I have had my students using the website on a browser on the iPad. They seem to be able to do more than they can with the iOS app. But the app keeps getting updates. This allows me to post all assignments, videos, etc for flipping my classroom. My students can go at their own pace. I love the tests that you can create. It is easy to grade and has been very reliable. Sometimes I feel like I have to click through too many screens to get to where I want, but overall it is a great LMS.

Thing link is a cool website where you get a picture and add links, text, images, and videos to it. The website works with some bugs on the iPads. They now have an iOS app, but you can only link text and videos - not actual lnks. Hopefully that will be updated soon.
