I use it to upload the lots of documents I need to share with students and colleagues. Integration with calendar is definitely useful to share the timeline of assignments, deadlines, examinations and meetings.

Unfortunately the process of setting permissions and privacy policy of documents it's a bit time consuming and very boring, but it's needed in order to share the link. Some time can be saved using the folder system.

Great tool, very easy to use. I'm used to upload the many documents I produce for my students and colleagues. Before this I needed to use things like pen drives or the like, but they have many disadvantages. They're limited in size, they're unreliable, many school sysadmin do not allow them since they very easyly carry viruses or the like and… they get lost! With Dropbox you simply get rid of all that!
