This is a great tool to keep students engaged while watching a video. This allows them to add their own notes- and more, to collaborate with someone else to have threaded discussions on collaboration notes!

This is the go-to source for public domain clip art images. This library of 96,000+ images has something for everyone! Images can be downloaded in PNG, SVG, and PDF formats.

This was the perfect solution we needed to record video with Chromebooks. Our Chromebooks have a swiveling camera on them so they can be turned away from the user and record things in front of them. All the other solutions we found made the video a mirror image of reality- and when you are showing video involving text (like how to solve a math problem), this becomes very important. This tool has a mirror function that can be toggled off and on. Also, since it can save directly to Google Drive (and we are a GAFE district), this worked out well for us.

This is a no-nonsense HTML 5 video recorder using a built-in webcam. We were looking for a solution to do this with Chromebooks and this is what we came up with. It’s as simple as clicking the record button, then going from there. The students have options to save the file locally or upload to cloud services such as YouTube and Google Drive. Since we are a GAFE district, this was a good choice for us.
