Skyview perfectly blends sophisticated augmented reality technology with the content required to use in the classroom. There are so many layers to this application, so it can be used with elementary-aged children all the way up through high school astronomy classes and further. It is incredibly easy to use, because all you have to do is point your device in the direction you want to see. On the horizon, the stars appear, even in broad daylight! If you hold the camera over a group of stars, an image will appear, like Capricornus. If you tap on the image, you will get fun facts; did you know Capricornus is approximately 48 light years from Earth? There are many other options that allow you to see objects in our solar system, satellites, galaxies, and more! My favorite feature of this app is that you can locate any planet in our solar system. You can see its orbit around the sun as well as see some fun facts about it!
