Phreetings is short for photo greetings. You search for a creative commons image and write a greeting, poem, short story or essay. Send the URL to someone or copy it and use it in a blog or webpage. Presto–your webpage is generated. Easy to use for quick announcements or short stories or poems. Students can easily illustrate and publish their writing with phreetings. Unfortunately you can’t edit it once it is generated, but it is easy to create a new phreeting.

This site generates a giant message of your choice and lets you choose the font, background and colors. Not a tool I use very often, but I sometimes generate a message like: “Good work!” “Congratulations!” “You did it!” I often use a shortened URL or QR code so it is a real surprise to students. Easy to use!

I love ThingLink. It is a tool that fits easily into any curriculum area and any grade level. I have “bag” of resources at http://bit.ly/11fyzV8 and a collaborative document with ideas for using ThingLink at http://bit.ly/LQJvm7. Feel free to add your own ideas and resources!
