Have used for gr. 4-5, added gr. 3 this year. Not as engaging as some past software we’ve used, but the students love earning their start and moving up levels. Setting up classes to track and control who sees what, if they can backspace, if they can jump ahead, is the key. I only see them weekly, but the kids who choose to work on it at home are zooming along. We don’t even use it weekly in class. It’s an optional resource. During free choice times, many go for it!

I’ve used it with grades 4-8 and High School. The logic within is an excellent tool and students remain engaged for long periods of time. Especially effective is the use of procedures.

We have used this in conjunction with Hour of Code and as a follow-up. Even our Kinder kids can do some of the activities, up to a point. Older students keep going back to it on their own, as a choice of activity.
