Fun and a great way to document classroom activities and storytelling. So easy to stitch together for end of year presentations or parent viewing.
Also useful for older kids to focus on content creation.
Inventioneers is a fun physics and problem solving game. It is set up a bit like a digital version of Mousetrap. Work your way through increasing difficult levels of play or create your own contraptions. Free to try and full version is relatively inexpensive. We encourage the kids to take turns problem solving as a team. Available on iOS or Android.
I was very impressed with the social-emotional learning provide in this app. The opportunity for parent or teacher engagement was built in and easy to use. I can see this as a great tie in with teaching zones of regulation and conscious discipline in a preschool or elementary classroom setting. Using the app at home would promote family engagement and be a great support for learners.
Used with PreK learners for cause and effect. Modeling digital media use with parents and the multi-touch feature. Simple, easy and fun.
I love that you can use the web browser on a mobile device to use this site and the games still work correctly. Games like Count’s Number Ride and Big Birds Alphabet Track are fantastic on a mobile device for handwriting practice. Telly’s Shape Coaster is great too.
Merlin Bird ID draws upon more than 475 million observations from the eBird citizen-science project.
It customizes your list to the species you are most likely to have seen at your location and time of year.
