The teacher controls are excellent adding extra value over other backchannels!
Creates magic in the classroom as students become drivers of their own success! This is not a career unit but rather a self-declaration of “what makes your heart sing” and what will you use it in the world.
Supports I-imagine Taking My Place in the World
High use – especially dynamic for personification and docudramas!
One of my most used APPS – especially powerful for personification and docudramas
This tool is spot on for supporting the pedagogical practice of “free writing.” Not sure i would use it consistently . . . but as an introduction to the basic rules of free writing which is JUST KEEP WRITING without judgement or pause. After that student writers can choose to use or not! I highly recommend this tool
This is the best tool i have ever seen for learning and practicing the mind set for “free writing” . . . it is pedagogically spot on!
Dialogue based fiction and non-fiction storytelling
This site is a rich source of content to enjoy as well as guidance for creating myths and legends of your own. The ability to create and add student work allows public publishing as well. Animation brings their myths and legends alive.
Students find historical images and prepare content that this person would say on a controverisal topic.
Students take photos of their pets and add content AS IF they were the pet discussing their owner
Students bring artists alive with stories and their painting.
Students share content on bacteria AS IF they were the germ.
I highly recommend the novelty and the rigor of what can be share. This process also places the student in the shoes of objects as well as people resulting in appreciating compassion as well as personification.
High value for easy learning curves.
Bringing still images to life has many applications from creative dialogue – reflections and docudramas
Easy to use – creative applications across the curriculum as well as family events.
