I use this tool to create rubrics for my classroom as a standards-based grading tool. It is user-friendly and allows me to enter and save data regarding student progress which I use for parent-teacher conferences and also for IEP planning purposes. Love this tool!

If you like to bookmark everything like I do, Pocket is an excellent resource to store all those things you want to check out at later date. If it’s in your Pocket, you can read it from anywhere-your phone, tablet, computer.

I use Khan Academy to reinforce lessons taught in the classroom. As a special education teacher, my students and I watch the videos together and discuss the lessons as we go along. It’s like having a co-teacher in the classroom with the option of stopping and starting a lesson as we need. The videos are excellent examples of visual aids to accommodate learning. I was happy to see that they recently added math lessons for lower grades. Excellent resource for a flipped classroom.

My students loved this game but it is a downloadable program and was not user-friendly to set up and it took up a lot of computer space. If it were a web-based program, we would have used it more often.

EdPuzzle is a great tool to take those longer videos and crop them to get just what you need to deliver information to your students in the classroom. It also allows you to embed questions into the videos to allow for customization. A great tool!

This is a great tool for students to create interactive slideshows. A great alternative to PowerPoint. I used it this year and the students were so engaged there was nothing but silence as they worked on their projects. When they finished their projects, they asked to make another! Excellent tool! Highly recommend.

Great tool for those students who have problems with reversals. A great app for OT’s and special education teachers. I use it in my classroom daily.
