For the aspiring writer in your or in your students, if you are a teacher, iBooks is great and very useful tool to utilize. When using iBooks, you are given the opportunity to tap into the market of book creation and selling. Students can start from the very beginning of book creation by typing in the book's content. Then, they can create images to go on each page, and a cover and back cover design for their new book.

Creating a book through iBooks puts you in the driver's seat, if you will, because you do it all on your own and based on your own personal preferences. I think this tool could definitely be used in the classroom as a group project or an individual project.

This is a very useful tool if you want to create and publish your own ebook. The pre-design templates are very good looking and you don't need to put in much work in terms of design in creating your own book. Since it is an apple application, it is design pretty well. It can also be combined with other applications available in the app store in case you need to. I recommend this to anyone who wants to publish their own ebook in case they need to. This is also great for educators who wants to create their own book with lessons to learn and read by their students.

Fairly straight forward as is most apple applications, produced a trial book in an hour from scratch, works well with the many additional templates and options available on the app store.

However, unless you are going to publish to iBooks, your only other option is PDF which undermines interactivity, or embedding on your own web page. The file is far too big to send as email.
